A Rose That Can Last As Long As Time?
With the upcoming release of the live action Beauty and the Beast, many have revived their love for the Disney classic and their interest in the enchanted rose. I mean, how can a rose last that long when most show signs of wilting within a few days? Well, one company may have the answer.
If you're a Beauty and the Beast enthusiast, you'll be interested in London UK based company. The luxury flower company is now selling "one hundred percent natural" roses that claim to last forever if kept in their original domes or up to three years when exposed to natural elements.
The longevity of the rose isn't the only alluring factor. These roses don't require water or sunlight- Even if you decide to remove the casing.
The company currently offers 30 different colours and can be purchased in arrangements that will last up to three years.
So how can roses even last that long? The company claims that while the roses are one hundred percent natural flowers, they are derived from the mineral rich volcanic soils of Ecuador in South America. The soil is believed to give them uniquely strong petals which grow up to ten times thicker and five times larger than any other flowers.
In addition to using soil from Ecuador, the company is said to have a 'secret potion' that preserves the flowers. While they won't reveal any of the ingredients that provide the rose with immorality, some have speculated that the elixir most likely contain a mixture of glycerin and other oils.
Before you begin to think of how easy it would be to use these roses in your landscape, consider that they are relatively pricey. The prices range from $200 to $4000.
