Ametco Manufacturing Corporation - Eclipse Stainless Steel

Offered in both aluminum and stainless steel, the Eclipse panel design provides 80% or 100% direct visual screening. Screening does not affect air circulation.

Total Door Systems - Double Egress Pocketed 90 & 180 Standard Panic Door

When you’re one of a kind, creating a better door system that matches an architect’s vision is built into the process. We are the only integrated door system provider that uses parts and components designed and engineered to work together as a unified whole. Our patented door systems require fewer parts, provide unmatched security, and can withstand up to 5 million use cycles, which reduces maintenance overhead and lowers overall costs.

Camden Door Controls - Imperial Theatre

Camden Door Controls was the first choice for equipment because of their market leadership in providing turn-key wireless solutions and products that span both ADA and access control systems. For this application, Bourque chose a Camden Aura™ LED illuminated push plate to lock/unlock the entrance door strike and annunciate the lock status because it provided the convenience of a large ADA push plate with a highly visual indication of the lock status. Editor note: Alternatively, a key switch with red/green LEDs would provide a secure means of locking/unlocking the doors or a mushroom push button with LEDs would provide the same general functionality in a smaller size. Aura™ push plate switches offer field selectable green/red/off illumination, which is activated directly (by switch) or remotely (by control relay or access control system).

Bird Barrier - An Important Part of Bird Control at Renovated Hotel

The site has had a problem with pigeons for many years, and with the renovation, management decided it was time to fix this problem once and for all. They contacted Bird Barrier, who in turn gave the lead to United Bird and Bat Control. They worked together with the construction company to find the best bird control solution for each part of the renovation project. Several bird deterrent methods were used; they installed netting, portable fence bird spike, post and wire on different parts of the hotel. Project manager Ted Lafforthun: “For some parts however, there were concerns the aesthetics would be compromised.”

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum - Hilton Garden Inn

The system’s two-step installation process means contractors can dry-in projects without applying building wraps, thin or thick fluid-applied membranes, peel-and-stick membranes, or other additional WRB- AB layers. Installers only have to seal fasteners, panel joints, openings, and penetrations. A time-motion study by Home Innovation Research Labs™ found the DensElement™ Barrier System saves subcontractors significant project time by eliminating the need for a full fluid-applied WRB-AB product.
