Why You Need to Spend More Time Designing the Garage

Unless you're a car enthusiast, you've probably overlooked all of the potential presented with a garage. You may see it as just a room tacked onto the side of the house with the only purpose being to protect a car. Well, we want you to see that it can be more than that.

If you're in the construction process of a garage, consider that depending on the style of roof, you could make it into your own leafy roof terrace.

While a garage is traditionally located at the front of a house, the design above shows how it can easily be integrated into the backyard.

If your home is small it may be difficult to incorporate a large garage since it could be viewed as wasted space - especially if it eats up your front lawn. The benefit however, is that your car will be much safer if you sacrifice the space to incorporate into your home.

While many garages have a door that acts as a side entrance to the house, this home allows the owner to drive in and immediately enter their kitchen.

One of the most common complaints about a garage is the wasted space. This home owner decided to make use of the space by incorporating a home office along the back wall. This is a smart design as it would be a quiet and secluded place to work.

One of the most popular garage renovations is adding a second level to make a loft area or a completely furnished room.
