If you’ve been a dedicated reader of our blog, you’ll know that we prefer our articles to be informative, educational, and conversational. We write articles that can provide value and benefit to our readership.

While CADdetails primarily reaches an audience within the AEC industry, our blog extends beyond the AEC industry to also include homeowners, design enthusiasts, and buyers of products within the AEC industry. This is why our topics cover the latest trends in architecture and design, influences that are shaping architecture, and home improvement ideas.

Successful guest contributions will teach our readers something new about your industry and adhere to the following guidelines.


General Post Guidelines

  • Before pitching an idea, please use the search box on the blog to ensure that we haven’t covered your topic already.

  • Content must be original and only written for CADdetails. Your post must be a minimum of 800 words and not exceed 2000 words.

  • Your post must follow our editorial format and reflect the style and tone of the blog.

  • Your post must cite your sources which should only be from relevant and high-ranking sources.


Your Article MUST Include:

  • 1 link within the article linking to CADdetails.com.

  • At least one internal link within the post that leads to one of our prior blog posts.

Your Article May Include:

  • 1 link to an external source (this source must NOT be a direct competitor of CADdetails.com, CADdetailsblog.com or any of our partner manufacturers. If clarification is needed on this, please visit CADdetails.com)


Guest posts are subject to approval by our blog writers. If you choose to submit an article to us, we reserve the right to edit and adapt the article to meet the guidelines noted above. Submitting an article does not guarantee it will be published.

Examples of content that will not be accepted for publishing:

  • Plagiarized content and posts that have been previously published elsewhere.

  • A topic that has been previously covered on our blog.

  • An article that’s too promotional of a company or products.

  • Anything that’s overly critical of individuals or companies.

  • Sales articles and press releases.
