As our future is leaning towards creating more sustainable and green buildings, we decided to take a look at these structures that are made out of some of the most common recycled materials that wouldn't ordinarily be considered for construction purposes.

Nuyaka Creek Wine Cellar

Located in Oklahoma, the owner of the Nuyaka Creek Winery decided to swap out traditional building materials to make this cellar that was a prior old refrigerated trailer from a semi truck. 

Three Trees Home

While the Nuyaka Creek Wine Cellar used a prefabricated recycled material, recycled fly ash concrete and recycled lumber was used to construct this home. 

Plastic Bottle Houses

Perhaps taking recycling to a whole different level, this home located in Puerto Iguazu, Argentina, was constructed by Alfredo Santa Cruz and was constructed entirely out of plastic bottles. 

Brighton Earthship

As part of an experimental sustainable development, Michael Reynolds designed this home with walls constructed out of reused rubber tires. 

Starbucks

Despite shipping crates gaining their popularity in the tiny home market, this Starbucks in Washington was made from four end-of-life cycle shipping containers.
