Project Highlight: Custom Home Builder Utilizes Fypon
Since founding Quality Crafted Homes in 1985, Richard and Shirley Kees have been providing a custom home building experience for their clients--a process made easier with Fypon products.
Two years ago, the family-run company started using Fypon’s low-maintenance, easy-to-install polyurethane products on their custom homes in their Cottage Park development in the Forest at Foxwood in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
“One of the things we hear the most from our customers is how they want as little maintenance as possible. With Fypon, we aren’t sacrificing style by not using wood,” said Tyler Kees, business development, Quality Crafted Homes. “Instead we are saving time, and putting a product on that is designed for our home. It offers the look our customers come to us for, with the less maintenance concern they so desire.”
Greg Munster, Quality Crafted Homes’ draftsman and chief technology officer, said the most commonly used Fypon products are the corbels, brackets, columns and gable vents. While no two homes are ever exactly the same, almost every home they build has one of those pieces on it.
“Saving time on the job is one of the many reasons we use Fypon,” Tyler Kees said. “The product comes to us ready to install out of the box. All that’s left to do is paint it. To be able to rely on a product like Fypon helps us speed installation time up so we can keep the job rolling.”
