Project Highlight: Tanzania International School
Tanzania International School Featuring IPI by Bison
Location: Tanzania, Africa
A recent international sale that was shipped out in early summer was recently installed at the International School in Tanzania. The project, completed through International School Services, required a total of six ceiling attached basketball systems to be designed and installed in the facility.
"We worked with the facility design and were able to provide them with the systems needed for the gymnasium and school," said Lee Ramirez, International Sales Agent. "They loved it."
According to Ramirez, this school prefers premium equipment and were looking for FIBA certified systems because they knew what they wanted. By working with International School Services in New Jersey, the company was able to present IPI by Bison equipment to the school. The recent certification on IPI equipment gave credibility to the products. They were also happy the products were being manufactured in the U.S.A.
"They were also appreciative of the fact we got back to them quickly, gave them pricing, worked with them and provided equipment that met the vision they were expecting," Ramirez said. "This allowed us to win the bid for this school and this project, now completed, allows us to show other schools that we do have an international presence," he said.
Here are few highlights from this project at the International School in Tanzania:
- 6 IP1360FF ceiling backstops (forward fold, front brace) certified FIBA Level 2
- Design structure consisted of bridged pipe spans over 25’ to the main trusses
- Two backstops required full cradle design structure due to sloping truss
