Fountain Hills Rotary Splash Pad by Waterplay®

The Fountain Hills Rotary Splash Pad in Arizona seamlessly integrates creativity, inclusivity, and functionality to offer an engaging aquatic experience that invites everyone to play!

In collaboration with the Town of Fountain Hills, Waterplay® and PlaySpace Designs Inc. worked together to create a multi-generational recreational space that perfectly reflects the community's natural beauty while offering a play space that is designed for all ages, abilities, and play styles.

Research shows that developing minds and bodies need the freedom to take risks in play and test their abilities. Based on the philosophy of unstructured free play, the design team focused on creating a space that wasn't constrained by age or physical ability but instead thoughtfully created to allow children of all ages to choose their own adventure and determine their own boundaries.

The Fountain Hills Rotary Splash Pad design embodies this philosophy by incorporating all three of Waterplay’s defined play zones:

1) An "adventure zone" for thrill-seekers, offering big splashes and non-stop activity!

2) An "exploration zone" for curious minds, encouraging teamwork and multiple opportunities for collaboration and interactive play.

3) A "development and discovery zone" for contemplative play that features water moving at a mindful pace, facilitating cognitive play opportunities that provide deep learning and flexible thinking for individual and group play.

A huge win for the whole community, the revitalization of Fountain Hills Splash Pad unveiled a vibrantly transformed recreation space designed with Waterplay's research-backed play zones to inspire, engage and provide meaningful and healthy social interaction for entire community of Fountain Hills—now, and for many generations to come.

When it comes to splash pad design, Waterplay prioritizes play value in every product offering, showcasing associated play zones and styles in product feature sheets. Visit Waterplay’s CADdetails listing for more information.
