Project Highlight: Traditional Style Meets Modern Technology

Project Highlight: Traditional Style Meets Modern Technology

This home features a bi-folding door that connects the indoor and outdoor living spaces. However, the homeowners wanted motorized screens installed to maximize their usage of the outdoor space year round, that is where Phantom Screens comes in!

About the Home

The New American Remodel® is the NAHB’s International Builder Show®’s offical showcase of the products and building practices that transform the performance and comfort of any home. This includes the addition of products which enhance energy efficiency, indoor air-quality and universal design – such as Phantom Screens.

The Need

A bi-folding door connects the indoor and outdoor living spaces – creating a great room which is double the size. However, the homeowners needed a solution which would maximize their usage of the space year round.

The Solution

Six Phantom motorized wall screens were installed to create an indoor-outdoor space that is completely protected from pests while allowing fresh air inside the home. The screens also disappear into the brick columns when not in use – preserving the design of the home.

What Makes this Project Special?

The builders of this home were able to maintain many aspects of the original home’s design while incorporating modern technology, such as Phantom motorized screens!
