While the setting for this boardwalk proved to be slightly challenging, the highly adjustable combination of adjustable pan foot and pile foundation was the perfect solution. It supported and enabled the trail to wind through the wooded area and up to the tree-lined bluff. Multiple turns and platforms were included to maintain ADA compliance and make it more visitor friendly.

Kenneth Lynch & Sons - NYC Parks Monsignor McGlorick Park

Taking a classic and reinventing it is a common theme that Kenneth Lynch & Sons is posed with. As the needs of park visitors has changed over the years so must the seating that accommodates them. The classic shape of the Central Park Settee had not changed significantly until the addition of an armrest in late 90’s. This armrest blends beautifully with the lines of the original bench. To further meet the needs of park planners the bench now can accommodate recycled plastic lumber. Without adding extra support legs, which would detract from the bench design, they have added the required support that recycled plastic lumber requires over longer spans. This bench design as well as other models available from Kenneth Lynch & Sons utilize the same principles for ensuring a stable product suitable for heavily used park areas.
